Life Goes On

The community lockdowns and the mandatory wearing of masks have gave us an illusion of protecting ourselves from health hazards, albeit the unnecessary discomfort brought about it, and several takes on the constitutionality of such measures  that the days flew by without any care. Truly, as they say, life goes on.

In the United States, the election fever is on that politics immediately became like a circus and the clowns are out. It reverted to ten thousand idiots vying for a position of power that they rarely understand.

And then, Kanye West is running for president as an independent candidate. No one knows whether he is doing it out of frustration or to make President Trump look good on TV, but one thing is for sure, he will entertain us on the dynamics of American politics.

It leaves us, in a sense, wondering how the new normal leaves District of Columbia trying to deliver on campaign promises. Trump's tax returns are still being audited and cannot be released as of the moment, and nobody knows if Trump can really run the government.

The media has excited Trump's supporters that much that the Republicans are here and there, parading in front of TV cameras like endless baboons. We have seen the Democrats on the sidelines every time Trump had a go on White House correspondents. In short, it is another election year for the most powerful country in the world.

Protest assemblies are all over the world now because societal problems are a continuous struggle. And as we live day by day, we realize that these struggles must be met with common resolve, with or without the politicians.

Elections are a necessary evil of Democracy, and a great time for fools to congregate in front of the people, embarassing themselves. Life goes on, but please cast your ballots.
