Spiel
The US presidential elections are almost over as both parties are racing to woo battleground states in a hotly contested election that will determine a lot of future policies of the most powerful nation in the world.
A lot of concern has been put on COVID-19 response, but as President Trump has pointed out, the vaccine is on its way and the issue will be over in less than two years. The Democrats response to the pandemic met unpopular support for some, as stricter lockdowns and mandatory face covering will be imposed should a Biden administration is ushered in to the White House.
Debates have gone nowhere, and deadlock on popular policy differences left audiences entertained, from the fly on Mike Pence's hair to President Trump's untimely coronavirus infection.
Regardless of what is currently happening, each candidate has gotten out their respective spiel, delivered their speeches, and Trump's appearance on late night shows has reached an alarming rate that leaves us wondering whether America will tolerate anymore of Trump's behavior.
But the election is not about Trump versus the Democrats. It is, mostly, about America's future. It is about America's duty in the world order, and its responsibility as the world leader in almost all respects. Economically, America's role must be met with a clear direction that whoever wins in this election must deliver for the country's interests as well as for the joint prosperity with other countries.
The ballot represents America's freedom to choose its own leaders, and this must be taken seriously. It is not about Trump's spiel or antics. Voting for Kanye West will never be funny. Whatever happens, history will always be the judge. This election is for the country, but it is also for posterity. The future is now, and if we want a more prosperous future, the time to act is now.
Please vote with confidence.
