Gracious in Defeat

Trump eventually lost. He seem to have won the election, but now he lost.

The massive red map slowly flipped to blue, at least in key states where counting continued on after the election night. Trump eventually called to halt the counting of mailed ballots, and said that electoral fraud is taking place in key states, but official sources stated that these claims of cheating is disputed.

As election results are being certified by the several states, Trump seemed to be unbothered that he was going to be a one-term President. In fact, he refuses to concede and it seems like the elections will be brought to the courts, although early legal decisions favored Joe Biden's supposed electoral victory.

Whoever wins an election should not be the politician, because politicians are just poster boys of the establishment, and it is the general welfare that must prevail in the end. Support for politicians must extend to national interests, and the government should implement a long-term plan for the country, no matter who occupies the White House in four years.

It is the politician who should win last, as a matter of fact, and it is our constitution that must win foremost. One has to remember the Declaration of Independence from their Civics class with utmost respect, with which the foundation of the country has been built upon. Endless politicking has no place in our democratic society. And yes, Kanye West has no business running for the presidency.

With how the elections has been reported by the media, one must safely conclude that they somehow shape public opinion that might have tilted the outcome of the polls. Eventually, someone must give way for the winner. If, after Trump exhausted all legal remedies available to him and still Joe Biden wins, he must accept it and be gracious in defeat.
