The vaccine is finally here. After the grueling months of trying to go by with the threat of contracting the coronavirus, the world has produced a vaccine. This vaccine comes in a pivotal moment as countries are desperate trying to reopen the economy and borders again, and this situation is more than wanting. Businesses are aiming to bounce back in terms of revenue. And some people are dying of flying again to the destination of choice.
As the world watches the first vaccine administered in the West, everyone is hoping to be immune from this virus very soon. This means going back to our daily lives again, doing our old routine that we missed so badly, and just live life while we still can.
With all the things that happened during the pandemic, it is still very tragic that a lot of people should lose their lives from COVID-19. Nobody cannot really be blamed for this virus' transfer other than ourselves, as it is everybody's responsibility to prevent it from spreading through following scientists' instructions. But sadly, not everyone did their responsibility as religiously as other people did.
If we failed to contain the virus, we can absolutely see why that happened when the pandemic already erupted. Nobody wanted to cooperate with the authorities, especially in wearing face masks.
In the Philippines, there is a question on whether the military solution implemented is a perfect fit for curving the pandemic, which comes down to a matter of philosophy, as some pointed out how the community lockdowns and quarantine protocols are necessary to control the movement of people, and then, effectively, prohibiting the spread of the virus.
This is a matter of theory, a philosophical failure if one must effectively inquire, including the wearing of face shields which claims to prevent the transmission of mucus and saliva droplets that seem outrageously unnecessary because face covering have already covered our face and nose, respectively.
Now, we await for herd immunity, and when that happens, we can hope for businesses to recover from their losses by managing our economies toward the right track to recovery.
