Trump and the New Variant

The year is now 2021. Nothing much has changed yet. President Trump is on his way out and a new strain of the coronavirus has been discovered, which prompted another wave of stricter checks and travel ban for people coming in and out of Britain.

The US Congress is set to declare the election win of Joe Biden, as Washington, DC braces for pro-Trump protests in Capitol Hill. President Trump claims he has been cheated and a lot of people could not accept the results with grace, especially his supporters.

As vaccines continue to roll out, America finds itself in internal turmoil. The Democrats are set to occupy the White House and control both houses of the United States Congress, and, obviously, not all people are happy about it.

Joe Biden said that he will trust science in all coronavirus matters, which is probably good news for frontliners. But the coronavirus is set to go, and the media cannot wait to move on to another topic.

The question now lies on what will happen to America's foreign policy. Will the Democrats rescind most of Trump's actions? And what will happen to dealings with China?

We will now await the Cabinet nominations to see where this new administration is headed. America is in a pivotal moment, now that the Democrats are at the helm, and a lot of decisions critical to the country's future are riding on the new occupant of the Oval Office.

Maybe many people are disappointed that Trump has to go. Maybe most people are unhappy that Joe Biden will become President. But one thing is for sure. Life must go on. And America must get the job done.
