Stimulus

Vaccines continue to roll out across the world, and some sectors or age groups are getting priority over the others, in a bid to end the pandemic, achieve herd immunity to safely open national borders, and for the economy to return back to normal.

But as much as we all wanted to go back to the way it was, we cannot simply dispute the fact that we are dealing with a new normal now. We have to contend to the fact that we will need to continue living with the virus, just like with the common flu.

And true enough, the world is confronting everyday life with cognizance of so much death from the past year, and still most people think that the virus is not a threat. Yet, as we have seen how the hospital staff saw these deaths without the patients seeing their loved ones for the last time before succumbing to the disease, it is simply too tragic knowing to be a frontliner and not be affected by so much grief.

Now, there is so much hope for all of us to rely on the vaccines to prevent any more deaths. The new normal offers us a glimpse of a return back to the past where we can simply mingle with everybody, attend social gatherings or see a Broadway musical, giving us enough courage to moving on to what's next.

The United States has taken enough measures to introduce stimulus to wake up an economic slump, and prevent a recession after major disruptions in economic activities hampered sales and spending due to limitations imposed on several businesses. World leaders are all racing to find solutions to accessory challenges that goes compulsary with the pandemic.

As the world is trying to recover from lost money and time, deaths and severe lung conditions, as they say, the fragility of life has been highlighted by our present circumstances, once more. While others may not believe of how big of a threat this health condition is, we all know that there are people who suffered and died from it. It is very real. Life is so fragile because death is simply at our doorstep, ready to knock anytime soon. And this pandemic reminded us of that painful truth.
