Reality

How complex is the decision making for human beings? And how really hard is it for us to choose what is right or true?

To answer this question, we must always consider first what motivates an average person to do something with respect to the many things that affect how he perceives his own reality against what is actually true. Reality is a perception that a person creates in his mind that he weaved through his conscious effort using materials that he gathered from his religion, personal beliefs, society, education, social and economic status, companionship, and family and relatives.

A person respond to the different stimuli from the environment as a basis for the development of his behavior, while genetics and the result of his upbringing determines the formation of his personality. As a child grows up and attempt to complete his development, many factors influence his perception, which includes the way he is rationalizing things and how he justify his decisions to include it in his reality, even though some people view it as morally reprehensible.

Those who attempt to shun their superego o conscience by allowing acts that is wrong to enter their consciousness, and to accept it by attaching noble reasons for it, as well as rationalizing it to make it appear as something that is legitimate or worthy, is the start of altering someone's experience of reality as a deviant non-conformist.

As we go through the process of being shaped by our constant experiences, we are more vulnerable to outside influences if our own person is lacking with the information that we need to determine our own resolve to act in a reasonable way. Everybody is always acting in what they believe is true, regardless of whether what they hold is, in fact, the truth. We are always motivated by the health of our thoughts, and the reality we are living in inside our minds.

But to answer what religion plays in difficult moments that requires a choice, it is quite true that the belief in god or a higher being is a strong motivator to manufacture a reality that is based on outrageous ideas because religious beliefs are a promise of a perfect world where there is no more evil or suffering, which is a state of being that everybody is trying so hard to achieve.

By understanding how humans ultimately behave, it is only fair to say that all people act in what they think is real (or the truth) under the circumstances, albeit some may be suffering from psychosis or biological abuse of their body. But whatever it is, crimes are perpetuated by felons who only acted based on the ideals that they think is the truth, and most of these ideals are twisted perception formed by the way they react to the negative experiences that they have gathered from the actors that deeply hurt their ego.
